The Nightingale Clinic, P.C. is committed to providing patients with convenient access to high-quality care. We believe that providing high-quality care is not only about the medical advice that we dispense, but more importantly about the relationships we have with our patients. We continue to strive to be a leader in innovative medical practices. 


History


The Nightingale Clinic, P.C. was established in 1999 to provide care for the residents of Quitman and the surrounding areas. Thanks to our supportive patients, our practice has grown tremendously.

Dr. Rachel G. Velez 

Rachel G. Velez, D.O. is the Physician and Owner of The Nightingale Clinic, P.C.  She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 1993 from University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Science, Des Moines, Iowa.  She completed her Residency in Family Practice at Medical College of Georgia from 1994 to 1996.  She completed her Internship at Universal Medical Center, Plantation, Fl from 1993 to 1994.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Engineering from University of Puerto Rico in 1986.  Before opening her practice at The Nightingale Clinic,P.C., she was the Family Medicine Physician at McIntosh Clinic,P.C. from September 1996 to June 1999.  Dr. Rachel Velez brings with her over 20 years experience in Family Medicine.

David Jackson, N.P.


David Jackson, N.P. joined The Nightingale Clinic, P.C. in December of 2003.   Prior to starting with The Nightingale Clinic,P.C., Mr. Jackson worked in the Emergency Department and Convenient Care of South Georgia Medical Center.  He attended the University of Mobile from1998-2001, where he received his Family Nurse Practitioner degree and was employed in the Emergency Department of Springhill Memorial Hospital.  Previous to that he served as an officer in the Air Force from 1994-1998, stationed at Wilford Hall Medical Center Level 1 Trauma Center in San Antonio, TX where he worked in the Trauma Unit.  Before joining the Air Force, he received his Bachelor's in Nursing from Troy University in 1994.  Mr. Jackson brings with him over 20 combined years of experience in Emergency and Family Medicine.
